What is Zoom?
Zoom is an online video conferencing platform that OLLI at UK uses to offer courses, meetings, presentations and more. OLLI uses the University of Kentucky’s secure Zoom account.
How do I join a Zoom “meeting”?
Zoom is user friendly and only takes 5-10 minutes to set up the first time.
What equipment do I need to get started?
- At the most basic level, all you need is a telephone. However, if you have access to a computer or mobile device you can use the full capabilities of Zoom.
- If your computer or laptop has a microphone and/or camera, you will be able to choose to be seen and heard by other attendees.
- If you have an older model, without a microphone and/or camera, you should still be able to see and hear the presenter.
