No RSVP required Morehead will also be hosting its own Fall Open House in mid-August! Morehead OLLI members can meet with the instructors, learn about the exciting courses Morehead has to offer, and register for both membership and Morehead courses on location. Registration for all Morehead courses this Fall will open on Friday, August 16, at 10 a.m.

The Henry Clay Estate - Tour

Ashland's essential 60-minute guided experience includes both floors of the 19th century mansion filled with authentic artifacts and furnishings. You will learn about Clay and his legacy as a statesman, his passion for American union, his careers as attorney and farmer, his public life and personal traits, and his life as a family man. The tour explores how slavery was the defining issue of Clay's own life and his times. You will learn about Clay's descendants who occupied and preserved Ashland into the 20th century. Includes stairs.

Explore Space & Folk Art in Morehead KY

Located in MSU's Space Science Center, the Star Theater is unlike anything else in the region. The 100-seat digital theater serves as a classroom and planetarium for the region's educators, MSU students and the community. The Star Theater projects full 180º x 360º real-time blended video and graphics on a 40-foot dome screen with state-of-the-art surround sound. In digital theater mode, the all-dome video allows a broad range of programming, including simulated travel through deep space and the ocean's deepest depths.

Spring 2024 OLLI Chorus Concert

Free & Open to the Public Join OLLI members and others for what will be an amazing Chorus concert from the OLLI Chorus group. They will perform classics from movies such as State Fair and Pete's Dragon, along with many other exciting numbers. The concert will also feature "The Hot Cookies", a bluegrass ukulele group formed by OLLI members, who will perform their own suite of popular songs ranging from George and Ira Gershwin to The Kinks.

OLLI Social: The Mad Potter

Lexington's original Paint-Your-Own Pottery Studio. The Mad Potter has been helping Central Kentuckians create unique and personal works of art since 1998. Pricing depends on the piece you choose to paint. They have over 300 different pieces to choose from. Most pieces are between $23-$30. There are cheaper and higher pieces as well. The prices on the pieces include everything except for tax. The Mad Potter is located in Landsdowne Shoppes on Tates Creek Rd. next to Fresh Market in Lexington. (address can be found above)
